An evening of expressive contemporary art exploring the intersections of inner spiritual landscapes and the ancient majesty of the Appalachian Mountains.
Sherman, Texas — North Texas visual artist and writer Ruth Elizabeth Nuckols Cox Williamson is pleased to announce her upcoming solo art exhibition at Artrageous Art Hub. The opening reception will take place on Saturday, June 13, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
The event is free and open to the public, and complimentary refreshments will be served.
The exhibition marks the debut of highly anticipated new works from two of Williamson’s most profound and visually striking bodies of work: the Divine Multiples / Internal Life Series and the Appalachian Range Series. Utilizing a rich mastery of gouache, watercolor, and oil pastels, Williamson’s style rejects literal realism in favor of expressive color, Fauvist influences, and dreamlike Surrealism.
The Divine Multiples / Internal Life Series is an evocative, multi-part exploration of the subconscious, sacred geometry, and spiritual evolution. Attendees will have the opportunity to experience the emotional resonance of powerful, newly completed anchor pieces including Emergence, Ascension, and Terra Es Spiritu Sancti.
Complementing this internal journey are selections from the Appalachian Range Series. Inspired by the ancient, mist-shrouded vistas of the Great Smoky Mountains, these landscapes transform physical ridges and valleys into vibrant, living sanctuaries of color, offering a deep dialogue between the external world and the legacy of the land.
