Bonham, Texas -- Ronald Eugene "Ron" Ridge, of Bonham, Texas, passed away on June 4, 2026, at Plano Heart Hospital, surrounded by those who loved him. Born on August 1, 1946, in Honey Grove, Texas, he was the son of James Franklin Ridge and Mary Jean Bell. Ron lived a life marked by honor, hard work, and devotion to family, friends, and country.
Following his high school graduation, Ron enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, where he served honorably. His commitment to duty and the values he learned as a Marine remained with him throughout his life.
A man of many interests, Ron found great joy in gardening, spending countless hours nurturing plants and flowers. He was also an avid antique car enthusiast who took immense pride in restoring and caring for his cherished collection of vintage automobiles. Ron deeply appreciated the craftsmanship, beauty, and history of classic cars. He also enjoyed watching sports and never missed an opportunity to cheer on his favorite teams during ball games.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Franklin Ridge and Mary Jean Osborne; and his brother, Larry Carmichael.
Ron is survived by his beloved sister, Sue Lester and her husband, Ronnie, of Savoy; his brothers, Randy Carmichael and Tommy Osborne, both of Bonham; as well as several nieces and nephews, extended family members, and many dear friends who will miss him greatly.
A graveside service will be held at Willow Wild Cemetery on June 9, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. Brother Bill Neal will officiate, military honors rendered by US Marine Corp.
