Bonham, Texas -- The theme for Creative Arts Center's July art show is Patriotic Textures & Textiles.  In honor of our country's 250th Anniversary, we hope to see lots of red, white and blue colors in the artwork as well as patriotic themes.  As always, you can interpret this theme however you choose and we will also accept Artist Choice. 

This month we especially hope to see lots of fiber arts in the gallery as we will be one of the stops in the Bonham Quilt Hop & Fiber Arts Show on July 24 & 25.  As always, all mediums are welcomed and encouraged. 

Painters, it will be fun if you add some texture to your artwork or the illusion of it.

Artwork is due July 1.

Opening reception

The July art show opening reception will be Thursday, July 2. Come and go from 5-7 p.m. Come see all of the new artwork. Visit with artists and other guests. Buy your raffle tickets for our Patriotic Crazy Quilt. PLUS, come visit with Regina Jones.  She is a local author who just published her first book.  She will be here selling and signing her book. Free admission. All are welcome.

Call for sweets

We are seeking donations of baked goods for an online Sweets Auction. Bonus points if your sweet treat has a patriotic theme or container, but that is certainly not required and we will be grateful for whatever you choose to contribute.  Sweets can be dropped off at the center on July 1 from 10 am to 6 pm or July 2 from 8:30 am to 10:00 am. It would be ideal if you send Sandy a message to let her know what you will be bringing at director@CreativeArtsCenterBonham.org. Bidding will be online only on July 2 from 11 am to 5:30 pm.
