Bonham, Texas -- Paula Dee Hill, 72, passed away peacefully at her residence on June 21, 2026.

Paula was born on August 3, 1953, in Bonham, Texas, to Billy Paul Butler and Betty Lou Cheeks Butler. She was united in marriage to Roy Dean Hill Jr. on November 6, 1998, and together they shared many cherished years.

 Paula was a woman of strong faith who loved the Lord and maintained an unwavering faith in Jesus Christ. She found great joy in gardening. Her greatest happiness came from being surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, whose lives she touched with love, kindness, and devotion.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Billy Paul Butler and Betty Lou Butler; her husband, Roy Dean Hill Sr. ; and her brother, Michael Cheeks.

Paula leaves behind a loving family to cherish her memory: her son, Danny P. Clark and wife Bonnie of Bonham, Texas; her daughter, Katina Clark King and husband Joe of Bonham, Texas; her grandchildren, B.K. Bursell and husband Cor Daniel Bursell of Elwood, T.J. King of Ravenna, Texas, Danelle Clark of North Carolina, Richard Sharp and wife Erin of Wolfe City, Texas, April Long and her fiancé Bo of Savoy, Texas, William Clark and wife Amanda of Jacksonville, Texas and Angela O’Neil and husband Dan. Her great-grandchildren, Ashlynn Long-Brauer Bernkopf, Chloe Faye Bursell, Cor Truitt Bursell, Karson King, Calliope Bursell, Kolter King, Stormy Akers, Samuel Sharp, Zoey Sharp, Mikala Richards, Kairi Clark, Jayden Clark, Lucas Clark, and Theo O’Neil; her brother, Joe Paul Butler and wife Tanya of Wolfe City, Texas; and her sister, Sandra Armstrong and husband Ronald of Mabank, Texas.

Though she will be greatly missed, her loved ones find comfort in knowing she is at peace in the presence of her Savior, Jesus Christ.

Funeral services will be held at Living Word Church of God on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., Brother Eddie Prince will Officiate. Visitation will be held at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday evening.

Pallbearers will be Philip Milam, Lonnie Ashlock, Danny R. Clark, Danny Springer, Steve Collida, Matt Salinas, and Jeff King.

Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Burt and Joe Shellman.
