
Helen married her beloved husband, Alton Ray Chesser, on January 23, 1954, in Sherman, Texas. Together they shared a lifetime of love, devotion, and family, building a home filled with laughter and cherished memories while raising their children.
Helen was a loving wife, mother, sister, and "Nannie." She found joy in life's simple pleasures, especially gardening and spending time outdoors in the sunshine. A familiar sight to many, she also enjoyed trips to Walmart, which she always looked forward to.
As "Nannie," she will be fondly remembered for the unconditional love she gave her family and the special moments she created with those she loved most. She had a gift for making lasting memories and treasured every road trip and gathering with her family.
Helen is preceded in death by her parents, W.G. and Maple Spindle; brothers, J.W. Spindle, Odell Spindle, Wayne Spindle, and Billy Spindle; and sister, LaVerne Day.
She is survived by her loving husband, Alton Ray Chesser of Telephone; son, Glen Chesser and wife Karen of Bonham; daughter, Judy Thomas of Telephone; son, Darrell Chesser and wife Carrie of Denison; seven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren; brothers, David Spindle of Bonham, Truitt Spindle and wife Cathy of Wills Point, Carol Spindle and wife Norma of Ector; sister, Shirley Acosta and husband Ben of Irving; along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home.
