Fannin County, Texas -- The Fannin County Museum of History is pleased to display a number of walking sticks and canes on loan from the collection of Joe and Sandra Ward.  The exhibit features walking sticks made by Joe and also walking sticks and canes collected by Joe and Sandra.

There are three walking stocks made by Joe from Bois d'Arc fence posts and a very interesting cane made from a twisted vine from the Bois d'Arc bottoms.

Other items on display include a unique cane made from over 50 precisely angle cut cattle horn pieces, a ladies walking stick with an engraved silver top and one cane which has inside it a protective sword.

All are beautiful and interesting.

Thanks to Joe and Sandra for loaning these for temporary display through the summer.  Stop by the Museum to see these and other beautiful and interesting items.

The Fannin County Museum of History is located 4 blocks south of the Courthouse Square in Bonham and is open noon-4pm, Tuesday – Saturday.  Learn more about the Museum at fannincountymuseum.org
