Bonham, Texas -- It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our beloved father, Edward Lee Mowell, 84, who left us on June 28, 2026. He was a man of gentle humor and wisdom, cherishing every moment spent with his loved ones.

A graduate of Lake Worth High School, class of 1960, he was married to his childhood sweetheart Nelda Mowell for 63 years. Theirs was a love of passion and laughter, always together.

He is survived by his daughter, Debra Windsor and son-in-law Mike; son, Douglas Mowell and daughter-in-law Donna; granddaughters, Taylir Essary and husband Rusty, Saffron Windsor, and Jennifer Burton; grandson, Jeph Burton and husband Hunter; great-grandchildren, Maxximus and Blayke Essary, and Mikayla Burton; sister, Margie Sedberry; sister-in-law, Eileen Howell and husband Roy; and many other cherished family members and friends.

Edward is preceded in death by his beloved wife Nelda Ann Mowell.

The family would like to thank Taylir and Rusty Essary and their children Maxx and Blayke and the staff at Wesley House in Bonham, Texas for their devotion and care of Edward and Nelda.

A celebration of life for Edward and Nelda will be held in Fort Worth, Texas at a later date.
