Bonham, Texas -- Alana Munger, 80, entered her eternal rest in the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on June 26, 2026.
Born on May 31, 1946, she lived a life marked by faith, devotion, and steadfast love. For 61 years she was the cherished wife of Larry Munger, and together they built a home, family in the Fannin County community.
A lifelong resident of Bonham, Texas until March of 2023, Alana poured her heart into her community. She was a faithful member of Trinity Baptist Church in Bonham, where she joyfully taught children’s Sunday School, planting seeds of faith in young hearts for many years. Her gentle spirit and patient love made her a treasured teacher and a blessing to every child who passed through her classroom.

Alana retired from Hunt County Regional Medical Center in 2013, where she served with loyalty and dedication. Her kindness, steady presence, and willingness to help others reflected the love of Christ in her daily work. After retirement, Alana served with the Women’s Auxiliary at the Texoma Medical Center in Bonham.
Alana was survived by her sister Patricia Elaine (Fairchild) Roberts of Lake Jackson, Texas. She was the beloved mother of Joe (Stacey) Munger of Dayton, Ohio, and Susan Smith and Meredith (Scott) Beaugez of Ocean Springs, Mississippi. Her children were her pride, and she prayed faithfully for them throughout her life.
Alana was blessed with seven grandchildren: Mikaela Ridder, Lincoln, NE, Mariah Munger, Lincoln, NE, Jillian Munger, McKinney, TX, Haylee Beaugez, Ocean Springs, MS, Meagan Beaugez, Ocean Springs, MS, Angelica Smith, Oakland, CA, Trace Smith, Denison, TX.
She also delighted in her six great-grandchildren: Malique, Londynn, Blaire, Scarlett, Kehlani, and Arielle. Each one brought her immeasurable joy, and she loved them with a grandmother’s full and generous heart.
Alana will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her gentle wisdom, and the way she made every person feel valued. Her life was a quiet testimony to God’s goodness. Her two favorite Bible verses were Malachi 3:1 and Isaiah 12:3. Though she will be deeply missed, her family rejoices in the promise of Scripture: “To be
absent from the body is to be present with the Lord!”
Her legacy of love, faith, and kindness will continue to shine through the generations she leaves behind. Her family takes comfort in knowing she is now at peace with Jesus in Heaven, and that the love she poured into their lives will continue to shape and strengthen them for years to come.
In memory of Alana, her wish was to have donations be made to the Trinity Baptist Church in Bonham.
