Honey Grove, Texas -- Betty Ann House Wilson, 74, of Honey Grove passed away peacefully on July 9, 2026, surrounded by her loving family after a courageous 15-year battle with cancer. She was a cherished wife, mother, and beloved "MeMaw."
Betty was born on October 9, 1951, in Dumas, Texas, to Bill and Norene House. She graduated from Whitewright High School and went on to become a successful business owner, proudly operating the Red Brick Grill in Honey Grove and House Sisters in Sash. Betty was well known throughout the community for her famous chicken fried steaks and hamburgers, and she found great joy in sharing her love of cooking with family, friends, and customers.
Outside of the kitchen, Betty enjoyed gardening, fishing, and canning. She treasured the simple pleasures of life and the time spent with those she loved most.
On April 3, 2011, Betty married the love of her life, Charles Wilson, in Honey Grove, Texas. Affectionately known as "Betty Boop" to Charles, the two shared a loving marriage filled with faith, laughter, and unwavering devotion. Together they attended Leslie Chapel Church in the Georgia Community.
Above all else, Betty's greatest joy was her family. She adored her children, but nothing brought her more happiness than being "MeMaw" to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Norene House; her son, Michael Will; her sister, Jo Webb; and her brother, Ricky House.
She is lovingly survived by her husband, Charles Wilson of Honey Grove; her daughter, Christine Kurth and husband, Brian, of Rockwall, Texas; her son, Andy Will and his partner, Dwane Rothisberger, of Grand Junction, Colorado; her son, Cade Wilson of Honey Grove, Texas; her daughter, Michelle Wishard and husband, Andrew, of Watertown, Tennessee; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; cherished family members Christeen Wilson and husband, Stacey Macke, of Paris, Texas; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
A celebration of Betty's life will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home.
