1st Wednesday of each month - August 5, 5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.
Sherman, Texas -- Home Hospice of Grayson County is pleased to announce the start of a new “Suicide Survivors Grief and Loss” Support Group on the first Wednesday of each month – starting on August 5. This group is open to all in the community who have been impacted by a loss to suicide. It will specially focus on how you live with your grief, work to heal from your loss and find hope. The group will meet in our Grief and Loss Center at 505 W. Center Street in Sherman, TX 75090.
The sessions will be held on the first Wednesday of the month from 5:30pm – 6:30pm starting August 5th. Each week we will work through discussing topics such as, how to live through the pain, understand the “whys” and learn to cope through “firsts”.
“Experiencing grief over the loss of a loved one to suicide can be especially difficult” said Nancy Jackson, Group Leader. “However, it can become overwhelming in the weeks and months after the loss. People are often surprised how much it impacts them emotionally, mentally and physically. There is no magic pill or quick fix for your grief, but sharing your journey with others who have experienced a loss, can make it easier. Come and join us.”
To register for the support group, please contact Nancy Jackson at 903-868-9315.
