Addison, Texas -- North Texas’ most popular Latin music festival, the Vitruvian Salsa Festival, continues its run with sounds from Houston-based band Cro-Cro Y Su Tumbaká. Now in its 12th year at Addison’s Vitruvian Park, the Vitruvian Salsa Festival honors both culture and community with iconic dance parties designed to get everyone on the dance floor.

The event runs from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. with professional salsa lessons from 6:30 to 7:00 p.m. and Latin DJ Ruben Reyes spinning tracks. At 7:00 p.m., Cro-Cro Y Su Tumbaká takes the stage. Food trucks and vendors surround Vitruvian Park’s amphitheater for each performance.

Cro-Cro Y Su Tumbaká was formed more than a decade ago by Jorge “Cro-Cro” Orta with the ambition to do something different in the salsa genre. The multicultural band interprets tropical music styles of famous groups and singers of the ’70s, ’80s and ’90s. The band performs songs with echoes of Latin-jazz, percussion solos, batá, son, güarachas and opera-salsa, bringing a wealth of sounds and musical colors.

The next and final performance in the 2026 Vitruvian Salsa Festival will be on Aug. 22 by the highly versatile Latin orchestra, Havana NRG.
