Denison, Texas -- The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) announced that the Intersection of FM 84 at SH 91 will be converted to an all-way stop intersection in Grayson County.
In the current conditions, FM 84 traffic must stop, while SH 91 traffic does not stop.
In the proposed condition, traffic approaching from all directions will be required to stop.
The Intersection change is scheduled for Friday, August 7, 2026.
The purpose of this change is to enhance the safety of this Intersection.
The traveling public will see new stop signs for SH 91, new SH 91 stop bar pavement markings, and new red flashing beacons for SH 91.
During this period, TxDOT urges drivers to exercise caution. Motorists who travel frequently in this area are asked to pay special attention to all barricades, traffic controls, and signs, and to reduce their speed as they approach and travel through work zones. Motorists should also avoid distractions such as cell phones, eating, drinking, or car audio or navigation systems. TxDOT also asks drivers to remain alert to road crews while navigating through the construction zone.
