Many people don't realize that all of our services are free and confidential. We serve adults who have experienced domestic violence or sexual assault, as well as non-offending family members and children. Whether someone needs safety planning, legal advocacy, counseling, support groups, hospital or court accompaniment, transportation, help with Crime Victims' Compensation, or simply someone to listen, we're here to help. We also operate a community food pantry because we know that sometimes meeting basic needs is the first step toward healing.
Become a 24/7 Hotline Volunteer
One of the most rewarding ways to get involved is by becoming one of our 24/7 hotline volunteers.
Our next Volunteer Hotline Training begins Tuesday, September 29 and includes eight weekly training sessions through November 17, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Lunch is provided, and attendance at all eight sessions is required.
The person answering our hotline is often the first person a survivor has ever reached out to. Volunteers provide hope, support, information, and a calm voice during some of life's most difficult moments. We provide all the training you need. You simply bring a heart for helping others.

Partners in Hope Training: Building Bridges Between Faith Communities and Survivor Services
We're also excited to offer our Partners in Hope: Building Bridges Between Faith Communities and Survivor Services training on Thursday, September 17, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
This free lunch-and-learn is designed for pastors, church leaders, and others serving within faith communities. Together, we'll discuss how to recognize the signs of abuse, respond in a trauma-informed way, connect survivors with resources, and build stronger partnerships between faith communities and local survivor services. Faith leaders are often someone a survivor trusts first, and this training helps equip them to respond with compassion, safety, and hope.

Bringing Resources to Your Workplace
Did you know Fannin County Family Crisis Center offers free presentations for businesses, organizations, churches, and community groups?
These presentations can be tailored to your team and cover topics such as recognizing the warning signs of domestic violence, understanding healthy relationships, supporting survivors, available community resources, workplace awareness, and the services we provide. Whether it's a 15-minute staff meeting or a more in-depth training, our goal is to help more people recognize abuse, know how to respond, and understand where to turn for help.
You never know when the information shared during one presentation could help someone in your workplace, a family member, a friend, or even save a life.

Advocacy on the GO!
We know how important it is for survivors to be able to access services safely, easily, and confidentially. We also understand that transportation can be a barrier, especially in a rural community like ours. That's why we've partnered with cities and churches throughout Fannin County to bring services closer to survivors outside of Bonham. Once a month, a trained advocate is available to meet with survivors who want to connect with services or community members who would like to learn more. We are at the following locations:
