Carrol was born on May 21, 1944, in Sherman, Texas, to Garvin G. Spindle and Maple Mays Spindle. On October 26, 1962, he married the love of his life, Norma Manson Spindle, in Dallas, Texas. Together, they shared 62 years of marriage, building a life filled with love, family, faith, and countless memories.

Carrol dedicated more than 40 years of his life to working as a meat cutter before retiring from Brookshire’s Foods. While he was proud of his work, his greatest joy and accomplishment was his family. He believed in being there for the people he loved and made it a priority to attend their birthdays, school functions, sporting events, and other special occasions. His family always knew they could count on him.

Carrol was a 56-year endowed member of the Masonic Lodge and a current member of Lodge #687 in Ector, Texas. During his years of service, he was honored to receive the Golden Trowel Award, one of Masonry’s highest honors. He became a Shriner in 1993 and faithfully served for 10 years. His commitment to his Lodge, his community, and helping others was an important part of his life.

When Carrol wasn’t working, participating in Lodge activities, or spending time with his family, he could often be found outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, sports, nature, and working on all kinds of projects. He was a man who enjoyed staying busy, learning, fixing, building, and making memories along the way.

Carrol will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. He leaves behind a legacy of love, hard work, dedication, and the importance of always being there for family. The lessons he taught, the stories he shared, and the memories he created will live on through the generations who loved him.

Carrol was preceded in death by his parents, Garvin G. and Maple Spindle; his sisters, Laverne Day, Anita Fern Spindle, and Helen Joyce Chesser; and his brothers, O’Dell Spindle, Lois Wayne Spindle, Billy Spindle, and Gary Nole Spindle.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Norma Spindle of Ector, Texas; his sons, Robert Spindle and wife Paula of Randolph, Texas, and Wally Spindle of Ector, Texas; nine grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and numerous extended family members and friends who will forever cherish his memory.

Carrol’s life was a testament to the things that mattered most to him: family, service, hard work, and making memories with the people he loved. Though he will be deeply missed, his legacy will continue through the many lives he touched and the generations that follow.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home, Bonham, Texas.
