Bonham, Texas -- Elizabeth Ann Vleck, née Jones, was born September 15, 1934, in Cooper, Texas. She passed away peacefully on August 19, 2026, at the age of 91.

Elizabeth lived a full and remarkable life devoted to her family, her work, and her many interests. She was a talented and productive homemaker, retail store manager, and business owner. In her later years, she embraced her love of travel, visiting destinations around the world, including the Middle East and China.

Family was at the heart of Elizabeth’s life. Her energy, generosity, and compassion for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were boundless. She took great joy in watching her family grow and remained a loving and devoted presence in their lives.

Elizabeth was one of eight siblings. She was preceded in death by her sisters Lillian, Helen, Verdell, Lucille, and Mozelle “Sis,” as well as her brother, Leslie Caldwell. She is survived by her youngest sibling, Inell.

Elizabeth is survived by her daughters, from oldest to youngest: Barbara and her spouse, Dane; Treena and her spouse, Kevin; and Judy; and by her son, David and his spouse, Mark. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Stephanie and her spouse, Brent; Travis and his spouse, Erin; Kayce and her spouse, Jaden; Kristopher; and Bailey and her spouse, Keith; and by her great-grandchildren, Kenzie, Riley, James, and Georgia.

Elizabeth was previously married to Robert Joseph Vleck. They later divorced. Robert preceded her in death on July 25, 2025.

Elizabeth leaves behind a family who will remember her for her strength, determination, adventurous spirit, and above all, her unwavering love and devotion to her family. Her legacy will live on through the many lives she touched and through the generations of her family who carry her memory forward.

A graveside service will be held at Arledge Ridge Cemetery on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at 11:30 a.m. The family invites family and friends to join them for visitation at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, from 10:00–11:00 a.m.
