Denison, Texas -- Frontier Village & Museum is offering a special beginner-friendly class this fall for anyone interested in learning the traditional craft of bobbin lace.

Bobbin lace is created by braiding and twisting threads wound onto small bobbins, forming intricate patterns through careful handwork. Once a widely practiced textile art, bobbin lace is becoming increasingly rare and is now considered an endangered craft, making opportunities to learn especially meaningful.

This introductory class is designed for complete beginners, so no previous experience is necessary. Participants will have the chance to learn the basic techniques behind bobbin lace while exploring a craft that has been passed down through generations.

The class is a great fit for anyone interested in fiber arts, traditional crafts, local history, or simply trying something new in a welcoming, hands-on setting.

Students will need to bring their own supplies. A supply list is available in advance from Frontier Village & Museum.
