Bonham, Texas -- Betty Marie Boyd was born on March 3, 1952, in Sherman, Texas, and later made her home in Bonham, Texas, where she was a beloved member of her family and community.
Betty was a woman who deeply valued her family. She loved spending time with her loved ones, attending family functions, and being there for those around her. She played an important role in helping raise her siblings and took great pride in caring for her many nephews and nieces, and all their children. Her family was one of the greatest sources of joy in her life, and the love she shared with them will remain a lasting part of her legacy.
Betty attended school at Bonham High and went on to have a long career with Act Communications, where she worked for approximately 20 years before retiring. She was a hardworking woman who took pride in her work and in providing for herself and her family.
Her faith was also an important part of her life. She was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church in Bonham, Texas, where she found fellowship and community.
Betty had a fun-loving personality and enjoyed the simple things that brought her happiness. She had a special love for Betty Boop, and she enjoyed the excitement of scratching lottery tickets, always hoping that the next one might be a winner.
Above all, Betty will be remembered for her love of family, her caring heart, her strength, and the many ways she touched the lives of those around her. She leaves behind cherished memories that will continue to live on through her family and loved ones.

Betty is proceeded in death by her parents; Mattie L. White & Arthur Miller Boyd and Ta’Kymberly White, Terel King, and Kedaylen Holt. She is survived by; Jerry Boyd, Sharon Malone, Micheal White, Melba White, Loretta Patterson, Darryl White, William White, Susan Luckey and COUNTLESS family members.
She shared a special bond with Tyron Leftrick & Latoya White.
A memorial service will be held at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Bonham on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at 2:30 p.m. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home.
