Honey Grove, Texas -- Bennette Louis Finney aka Bennie Louis "Bent Down", 60, of Honey Grove passed away on Tuesday evening, September 15, 2026, in Dallas.  He was born on October 9, 1965 in the Dial Community, TX to Willie Lee Finney and Fessie Lee Finney.  Bennie Louis attended and graduated from Honey Grove High School.  He worked at We Pack as a re-acker.

Bennie Louis was the life of the party whenever he showed up.  He loved being around his family and couldn't anyone out dance him.  He loved showing his dance moves to any and everyone.

Bennie Louis is survived by his mother Fessie Lee Finney of Honey Grove, daughters: LaQuita Patterson of Bonham, Dominique Patterson of Dallas, Brittany Patterson of Dallas and Keisha Finney of Paris; his son Reggie Finney of Sherman; sisters: Rose Sims (Robert) of Dallas, Annette Judkins (Hershel) of Dallas, JoAnn Finney of Honey Grove, Allien Brown (Jerald) of Honey Grove and Delois Wiliams (Maurice) of Commerce; brothers Arthur Finney (Elizabeth) of Denison, Kim Finney of Honey Grove, Billy Relford (Erica) of Commerce and Benny Relford of Commerce.  He is also survived by the mother of his children Clara Patterson Finney, 13 grandchildren and 1 great grandson, many nieces, nephews, cousins and other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father Willie Lee Finney, stepmother Doris Finney; grandson Amir Finney, brothers Brian Finney, Jeffrey Relford, Anthony Relford, Bobby Relford, Henry Relford and Richard Relford.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at St. James Baptist Church in Honey Grove with Minister Katherine Cooper officiating and Rev. Darrell Franklin Sr. eulogist. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Finney, Terren Judkins, Devarous Finney, Arthur Finney Jr, Kendrick Finney, Courtland Finney, Byron Finney, Roy Bean and Reggis Finney. 

Honorary pallbearers are KeAndre Finney, Major Phea, Amari Finney and De'Marcus Finney.
