Peter was born January 5, 1940, in the Bronx, New York, to Peter and Jennie Piccininni Pancaldo. He grew up in the Bronx, NY and enlisted in the Marine Corps as a young man. He was a proud United States Marine and honorably served his country. Once a Marine, always a
Marine.

After the Corps he built a life in business and real estate, and he had a knack for always making something out of an opportunity. Later in life, family and friends knew him as Poppy- a man who never met a good time he didn't like, a witty joke, or a room he couldn’t fill with laughter.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret Susan Lahey Pancaldo and his four children, David Pancaldo, Vincent Panaldo, Shaina Defichy, Crista Straub and other extended family and friends who will cherish his memory.

Peter was preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Jennie Pancaldo. And his Sister Catherine Brodesser.

A memorial service will be held at 12:45 p.m. on Monday, September 28, 2026, at St. Albans National Cemetery, 177-33 Baisley Boulevard, Jamaica, NY 11434.
