Bonham, Texas -- So, it's Monday morning and you need a good cup of coffee to get it started? Bonham Area Chamber of Commerce welcomed Narco Polo Coffee to the chamber family with a ribbon cutting on Friday, September 25, 2026.
For years, 119 E. 5th Street in Bonham has been a popular address. First it was the Breakfast Stop; then it was Butterfly Café and later it was Belle Rae's. Now it is the location for downtown's newest business, Narco Polo Coffee.
This place has a friendly, eclectic vibe. Of course, the first thing you notice is the aroma of fresh coffee, but look around and you will see used books and vinyl records. Looking for a George Harrison album to complete your collection? You just might find it here.
Music will be an integral part of Narco Polo Coffee. After the ribbon cutting on September 25, this was the place to listen to Cassandra Hassert churn out a heartfelt version of "Folsom Prison Blues" that would have put a smile on the face of the Man in Black himself.
This coffee shop would be an interesting and welcome addition to any town. In fact, step inside and look around...you may feel like you are in Santa Fe or Durango.
