Oct. 15 event will connect local job seekers with hundreds of opportunities across Fannin County as area continues rapid growth
Bonham, Texas (Sept. 29, 2026) – With hundreds of jobs available across industries in Fannin County, the Bonham Economic Development Corporation (BEDCO) and Workforce Solutions Texoma are partnering to connect local employers with job seekers at the Fannin County Job Fair on Thursday, Oct. 15.
The job fair will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Roy Floyd Community Center, 1100 W. Fifth St. in Bonham, and will be open to the public. The partnership combines BEDCO's work supporting local businesses and economic growth with Workforce Solutions Texoma's workforce development resources that help meet hiring needs across the county.
"Fannin County and Bonham continue to grow, and ensuring our existing and incoming businesses have access to a strong workforce is critical to their long-term success," said BEDCO Executive Director William Myers. "The job fair will give employers the opportunity to connect directly with potential employees while helping Fannin County residents find career opportunities close to home."
Fannin County continues to experience growth in both population and workforce. The county's population has grown nearly 10% since 2020, reaching an estimated 39,265 residents in 2025, according to the U.S. Census Bureau. The county's civilian labor force has also grown by more than 9% since 2022, according to U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics data. As part of the area's momentum, Bonham has also seen a 9% increase in residents since 2020.
The job fair comes as Bonham and Fannin County continue to attract business investment and expansion. In March, global manufacturer Vector Systems relocated its headquarters from McKinney to its Bonham facility, with plans to grow its workforce from 129 to approximately 230 employees within three years. Existing manufacturers Renlita Creative Openings, Tongrun International and Trans Cable also expanded their local operations.
"Our goal is to make sure employers have the workforce resources they need, not only today but also as their businesses continue to grow," said Workforce Solutions Texoma Executive Director Marsha Lindsey. "Partnerships like this help us stay connected to the needs of Fannin County businesses and strengthen the local workforce for the future."
The job fair is open to employers across all industries, with no registration fee to participate.
