Tyndall Air Force Base, Fla. -- Fighter jets from the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) will enforce the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) VIP Temporary Flight Restrictions (TFRs) areas established this week, October 1 – 3, 2026, over Dallas, Texas; Durant, Oklahoma; Mobile, Alabama and Dayton, Ohio.

General aviation pilots are reminded to check Notices to Airmen (NOTAMs) before each flight as required by the FAA and follow outlined TFR procedures.

NORAD aircraft will respond to aircraft violating these TFRs and take the necessary action to gain compliance – a scenario we encourage all pilots to avoid.

Pilots who violate TFR airspace may also be met by federal authorities upon landing and could be subject to interview or further enforcement action. Pilots can access the most up-to-date information published by the FAA at https://tfr.faa.gov/
