Sherman, Texas -- Serving the Texoma community since 1990, BPS Outfitters has grown into a local destination for firearms, ammunition, accessories, range time and firearms education. Located at 6400 Texoma Parkway in Sherman, BPS serves first-time gun owners, experienced shooters, collectors and community members who simply want a place to ask questions and learn.
Inside the store, customers can explore new and used handguns, rifles and shotguns, along with ammunition, optics, holsters, safes, cleaning supplies and other shooting accessories. The BPS team brings experience in military service, law enforcement, firearms instruction and customer service, giving customers access to knowledgeable staff when comparing products or looking for guidance.
BPS also operates an indoor shooting range with individual lanes, shooting suites, firearm rentals and membership options. Women shoot free on Wednesdays and Sundays, providing additional opportunities for women in the community to spend time on the range.
Education and training are also an important part of what BPS offers the community. BPS provides a variety of classes and training opportunities for different experience levels, from those handling a firearm for the first time to more experienced shooters looking to continue building their skills. Offerings include the free Introduction to Handguns class, Texas License to Carry courses, one-on-one lessons and additional training opportunities throughout the year.
Classes are led by experienced instructors with backgrounds in military service, law enforcement and firearms instruction, with an emphasis on safety, education and responsible firearm ownership. Jeremy Cox of Cox Firearms Training and Seth, a BPS team member and NRA-certified instructor, are among the instructors who provide training through BPS.
Best Pawn also operates at the same address, adding another service for customers visiting the Texoma Parkway location.
More than three decades after opening its doors, BPS continues to combine product selection, an indoor range, experienced staff and educational opportunities under one roof. Whether someone is purchasing a first firearm, returning to shooting after time away, looking for range time or simply wanting to learn in a comfortable setting, the BPS team aims to provide a place where questions are welcome and safety remains a priority.
