Bonham, Texas -- Donna Lynn Chesser, of Bonham, Texas, went to be with the Lord on September 30, 2026. Donna was born in Bonham, Texas, to William Tommie Chesser and Edna Mae Blackwell Chesser. She graduated from Bonham High School in 1982 and began her career as a
phlebotomist.

Donna dedicated many years to caring for others through her work. She worked at Dallas Regional Hospital for over 20 years and was most recently employed with Baylor Scott & White in Sunnyvale, Texas.

Donna was a woman of Christian faith and cherished the time she spent with her family and loved ones. Donna and John Henkel had been together since April 2012 and shared many special memories throughout their years together.

Christmas was their favorite time of the year, and they
especially enjoyed the joy and togetherness that the holiday brought.

Donna will be remembered for her caring heart, her faith, and the love she shared with those around her. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Donna is survived by her fiancé, John Henkel; her brother, Tommy Chesser Jr.; nephew, Juan Soto and wife Michelle; nephew, Connor Alley; and other extended family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Bonham, Texas. Chaplain Cody Nelson will officiate the service.
