Tom Bean, Texas -- For the 5th year now, Tom Bean School District will be hosting their Fine Arts Night on Tuesday, October 20 to exhibit their student's artwork, as well as to auction off these pieces to raise funds for Tom Bean's Fine Arts Scholarship Fund that awards deserving Tom Bean seniors a $500 Fine Arts Scholarship in May 2027.

Last year, the Fine Arts teacher, Mr. Webster Crocker added the Talent Show, Tom Bean's Got Talent to the Fine Arts Night to showcase talented students from the district and give them an opportunity to compete for the coveted 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place spots to win a cash prize.  These prizes are made possible this year by the Tom Bean Educational Foundation.

The evening begins at Tom Bean Middle School in their cafetorium at 6:30 p.m. to view and bid on the Art student's artwork which will be judged by Mrs. Engelke (Elementary Art Teacher), Mrs. Rhoades (MS Art Teacher), and Mr. Crocker (HS Art Teacher) to award a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place which also carries with it cash prizes.

Then at 7 p.m. Tom Bean's Got Talent Show will kick off where the registered talent will perform their song, dance, juggling, or drum routines for the crowd and the guest judges.  The Talent Show judges include: Mr. O'Neil (Assistant MS Principal AKA Simon Cowell), Mrs. Crossland (Assistant HS Principal AKA Mel B), Mrs. Goodman (MS Counselor AKA Sophie Vergara), and Mr. Korenek (Band Teacher AKA Howie Mandel).  The Talent Show will be emceed by Mr. Crocker (AKA Terry Crews).

The goal this year is to raise enough money to award three Fine Arts Scholarships at the end of the 2026--2027 school year.
