Bowie, Texas – Legend Bank and Graham Savings and Loan have reached an important milestone in bringing together two Texas community banks with deep roots, long-standing reputations for service, and a shared commitment to customers and communities. The acquisition of Graham Savings and Loan by Legend Bank has officially closed, marking the beginning of the next phase of the transition.

Headquartered in Bowie, just about an hour down the road from Graham, Legend Bank shares Graham Savings and Loan’s commitment to relationship-focused banking, local decision-making, personalized service, and supporting the communities it serves.

“Reaching this milestone is an exciting step forward for Legend Bank and Graham Savings and Loan,” said Jay Bearden, President and CEO of Legend Bank. “We’re proud to bring together two banks with such strong Texas roots and long-standing reputations in the communities we serve. Now our focus turns to building on those strengths and creating even more opportunities for our customers, employees and communities.”

For Graham Savings and Loan customers, very little will change before April 2027. Customers should continue banking as they do today, using their Graham Savings and

Loan accounts, debit cards, online banking and branch locations. Legend Bank customers will enjoy expanded branch access with three additional branch locations through Graham Savings and Loan after conversion next April, making it even more convenient to bank with Legend Bank in person.

A match made in Texas, Graham Savings and Loan and Legend Bank are bringing together the strengths of both community banks to create even more opportunities for customers. Following conversion in April 2027, customers can look forward to more ways to bank, more places to serve them, enhanced technology and additional resources, all backed by the same local service and relationship-focused banking they receive today.

“This is an exciting milestone for Graham Savings and Loan and our customers,” said Codie Hedge, President and CEO and Senior Lender of Graham Savings and Loan. “For now, our customers can continue banking with us just as they do today. As we look toward April 2027, we’re excited about the additional locations, services, technology, resources, and banking products they’ll gain while continuing to receive the personal service and trusted relationships they value.”

Together, Legend Bank and Graham Savings and Loan look forward to building on generations of Texas community banking and creating new opportunities for their customers, employees and communities.
