Honey Grove, Texas -- Patricia Kay Elliott, 81, of Hewitt, Texas, died on October 20, 2026 surrounded by her family. Graveside services will be in Honey Grove, Texas, at Oakwood Cemetery on October 24, 2026 at 11:00 a.m.
She was born on December 3, 1944 in Honey Grove, Texas, to John and June Morrison. She graduated from Sherman High School in 1962 and from there she pursued a degree in education from East Texas State University. She married Jack Patman Elliott in 1964 and they started their family a few years later. They were married for 47 years and had three children; John, Cynthia, and Sam.
She taught grade school for 34 years and retired in 2010. She touched many lives through her career in education and was honored as Teacher of the Year in 2010. She truly loved her career and poured her heart into her students.
On February 22, 2014, Trish received a liver and kidney transplant after suffering from kidney and liver failure. Each year after, she celebrated her ‘new birthday’ and that God gave her a new lease on life. After her transplant, she moved to Hewitt to be closer to her grandchildren and watch them continue to grow up.
Trish spent her time in her yard with her plants, playing bridge or bunco, or going out to lunch with her Bible study friends. But more than anything, Trish loved her family. Her children and grandchildren were her world and she loved cooking for them, supporting them in their extra-curriculars, and spending time with them telling them stories about her life.

She is survived by her children John Elliott, Jeff and Cynthia Holle, Sam Elliott, grandchildren Rachel and Colby Chapman, Rebekah Holle, and Walter Holle; sister-in-law Sandy Morrison, and sister-in-law Susan and husband Bill Braswell, and several nephews and nieces.
She is preceded in death by her parents John and June Morrison, stepmother Millie Morrison, brother Don Morrison, sister Deboroah Sue ‘Suzie’ Morrison, and husband Jack Patman Elliott.
She was a woman of strong faith and that flowed through her life with all the people she touched.
In lieu of flowers, our family invites you to honor Patricia Elliott’s life and legacy by contributing to the Patricia Elliott Memorial Scholarship Fund helping future students' education.
Pallbearers: John Elliott, Sam Elliott, Jeff Holle, Walter Holle, Colby Chapman, Ricky Doyle, and Shane Howard.
