On October 2, 1954, Ruby married the love of her life, Alvin Lane, in Randolph, Texas. Together, they shared 72 wonderful years of marriage, building a loving home and creating countless cherished memories along the way.

Ruby took great pride in being a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker. She enjoyed spending time outdoors tending to her flowers and working in her yard. She was also a wonderful cook who enjoyed preparing meals for her family. Above all, Ruby cherished her family and the life she and Alvin built together.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Reid and Rena Purdy; son, Lanny Lane; and brother, Lyndall Purdy.

Ruby is survived by her loving husband, Alvin Lane; sons, Larry Lane and wife Hope of Fairfield, Texas, and Lonny Lane and wife Tracy of Longview, Texas; five grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; sister, Elaine Rogers; and brother, Gary Purdy and wife Judy.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Bonham, Texas.
