In Loving Memory of Jackie Lee Thompson
January 16, 1946 – October 23, 2026
Bonham, Texas -- Jackie Lee Thompson, 80, was born on January 16, 1946, in Memphis, Texas. He passed away on October 23, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of memories, a family who loved him dearly, and a legacy that will continue to live on through the generations who were blessed to know him.
Jackie was a hardworking man who spent many years self-employed, taking pride in his work and providing for those he loved. He was a country man at heart who found happiness in the simple things in life. He loved fishing, hunting, spending time with his horses and cows, and enjoying the outdoors. But above all else, Jackie's greatest love was his family. His family was his pride and joy, and the time he spent with them was among life's greatest blessings.
Jackie lived a life rooted in hard work, family, and the things that mattered most. His love for the country life and his family helped shape the man he was and the memories he leaves behind. Though his earthly journey has come to an end, the love he gave, the lessons he taught, and the stories shared throughout the years will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him. His presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will continue to bring comfort, smiles, and cherished memories for generations to come.

Jackie was welcomed into Heaven by his parents, George and Robbie Thompson; his wives, Connie Thompson, Karen Thompson, and Judy Thompson; his daughter, Gail Pender; his granddaughter, Michelle Milam; and his brother, Lawrence Thompson. We find comfort in knowing that he has been reunited with those who went before him, and we can imagine the joy of that heavenly reunion.
Those left to cherish his memory and carry on his legacy include his daughters, Vivian Massey and husband David, Melinda Parker and husband Steve, June Thompson, and Carol Milam and husband Philip; his son-in-law, Charles Pender; and his sister, Fayrene Boatwright.
He also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren: Randall Massey; Jessica Spindle and husband Brodie; Amy Beaulieu and husband Jim; Dakota Parker; Cameron Parker; Philip Milam Jr. and wife Tiffany; Haley Thompson; and Heather Thompson.
His legacy continues through his great-grandchildren: Rowdy Spindle and wife Ashlyn, Elizabeth Massey, Kallie Spindle, Skye Pender, Emily Massey, Hayden Neel, Lilly Neel, Mallory Milam, Tripp Milam, and Declan Milam; and his great-great-grandchild, Sutton Spindle, who represents another precious generation of the family he loved so much.
Jackie's family was his greatest blessing, and the love he poured into each generation will continue to grow long after his passing. The stories, traditions, laughter, and memories he leaves behind will forever be a part of the family he cherished.
Pallbearers will be Randall Massey, Brodie Spindle, Dakota Parker, Cameron Parker, Donnie Boatwright, and Keith Walsh.
Honorary pallbearer will be Billy Roberts.
Though saying goodbye is never easy, those who loved Jackie can take comfort in knowing that a life well-lived is never truly gone. His time here may have ended, but his love will remain in every memory shared, every family gathering, and every story told about the man who meant so much to so many.
Rest peacefully, Jackie. May you enjoy the peaceful waters, open fields, and heavenly pastures above. You have left a lasting mark on the hearts of your family, and your memory will be treasured always.
“Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure. You are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.”
