Telephone, Texas -- Harvey Arlington West passed away in peace, to be with the Lord, Sunday, November 1, 2026, at home with his wife by his side. He was born May 19, 1948, to Hamilton Arlington West and Nellie Mae Brooke in Mineola, Texas.
Harvey is survived by his wife, Carol, daughter Cathy and son-in-law John Pierce of Wylie, Texas, son-in-law Steven Fulton of Telephone, Texas, brother Billie West of Hallsville, Texas, sister-in-law, Angie Ener, grandchildren, Ashley Walton, Brandon Pierce, Haley Lubbeck, Jaci Fulton, Ryan Fulton , and four great grandchildren.
Harvey is preceded in death by his daughter Tina Fulton and granddaughter Victoria.
In 1948, a great man was born. Throughout his life, he became a mentor, a role model, and someone so many people could look up to. To his family, he was the foundation and a source of strength, wisdom, and unconditional love. He led with patience, offered guidance when it was needed, and left a lasting impact on the people fortunate enough to know him.
In 1967, Harvey enlisted in the US Air Force. In December of that same year, he married the love of his life, Carol Ener in Mineola, Texas. Together they shared 58 years of marriage.
Harvey was a successful entrepreneur and business owner of Harvey West Plumbing in North Texas, beginning in 1982. In 2001, Harvey bought West Pecan Farm on the Red River in Telephone, Texas, where he has resided ever since.
Since 1983, Harvey and Carol have spent their time enjoying cooking Competition Chili, making lifelong friends within the CASI organization and raising money for scholarships. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the CASI scholarship program trades school fund, in memory of Harvey West.
A memorial graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 14, 2026, at Forest Grove Cemetery in Telephone, Texas.
The Family will receive visitors, following the graveside service at Harvey and Carol’s residence, 2563 County Road 2135 Telephone, Texas 75488.
