Dallas, Texas (SMU -- Calling all budding young artists! The Meadows Museum will kick off summer with a weeklong "Printmaking Palooza Summer Camp" for incoming 4th through 6th graders June 10-14 from 9 a.m.-noon. Campers will be introduced to the medley of ways to make a print – from monoprinting and screenprinting to Gelli plate printing and linocut – while exploring prints in the museum’s galleries. Students will also go behind the scenes to see museum works in storage and rarely on view.

This is the first time that the Meadows Museum has offered a summer camp program for youth. Led by artist/educator Ian O’Brien, “Printmaking Palooza” is supported by Meadows Museum staff and interns.

Drop off begins at 8:45 a.m. and campers must be picked up no later than 12:15 p.m.

With only 15 spots available, the camp is open to children that will be in 4th-6th grade in the 2024-2025 academic year. Cost is $200 per child or $175 for Meadows Museum members and SMU faculty, staff and students.

The Meadows Museum is located on the SMU campus at 5900 Bishop Blvd., Dallas, TX 75205.
