Addison, Texas – Cro-Cro Y Su Tumbaká will take the stage at the 2024 Vitruvian Salsa Festival on July 13. Events in the festival are spread out over the summer months, recurring on the second Saturday of June, July, August and September.

Bring your dancing shoes to Vitruvian Park’s Amphitheater and enjoy an energy-packed performance by Tumbaká, free dance lessons for all ages and abilities, music spun by a local DJ, food trucks, food vendors and more. The festival runs from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. with professional salsa lessons from 6:30 to 7:00 p.m.

Cro-Cro Y Su Tumbaká is a multicultural music group founded in Houston by Jorge “Cro-Cro” Orta more than a decade ago. The band was formed with the ambition to do something different in the salsa genre by interpreting tropical music styles of recognized groups and singers of the ’70s, ’80s and ’90s. Cro-Cro Y Su Tumbaká performs songs with echoes of Latin-jazz, percussion solos, batá, son, güarachas and opera-salsa, which results in a wealth of sounds and musical colors.

Other bands performing at this year’s Vitruvian Salsa Festival include Yamilka G y su Orquesta (Aug. 10) and Zone D’Mambo (Sept. 14).
