Bonham, Texas -- Mack P. Bradshaw, 86, formerly of Windom, TX, passed away peacefully in the early morning of July 10, 2024. He was born on May 21, 1938, to Homer Lee Bradshaw and Zora Ray Odom Bradshaw in Mangham, LA.

Mack grew up in Louisiana, working on the farm and helping his dad. He joined the Air Force in March of 1958. Shortly after joining, he met the love of his life, Opal Faye Ulch from Roxton, TX. They were united in marriage on December 19, 1958, and were happily married for over 50 years before her passing on October 10, 2012.

After Mack retired from the Air Force, he and Opal moved to Denison, TX, with their family to embark on a new life. He soon became the Sales Manager at Steakly Chevrolet, and then he and Opal opened a real estate office in Pottsboro, TX. Many years later, they decided to retire and travel to cooler climates across the US with their 5th wheel. They spent many weekends spoiling their grandchildren, Diane and Dale, by camping, fishing off the pontoon boat, swimming on Lake Texoma, having cookouts, and spending time with family and friends. He always had a joke to tell or advice to share.

His three great-grandsons, Gage, Buford, and Conner always brought the biggest smiles, heartfelt hugs, and immense love from Mack, as they were his pride and joy. He was an amazing man who will be greatly missed, but it brings comfort to know he is now walking hand in hand once again with his beautiful angel bride, Opal Faye Bradshaw.

Mack was a member of the Dodd City Baptist Church in Dodd City, TX. He was preceded in death by his wife, Opal Faye Bradshaw; daughter, Deborah Anne Bradshaw George of Honey Grove, TX; brother, Reese Bradshaw; sister, Julia Smith; and brother, Early Ray Bradshaw.

Survivors include his son, Gerald Bradshaw of Galveston, TX; son-in-law, Dennis George, and wife, Lois George of Anna, TX; granddaughter, Diane Payne, and husband, Bob of Telephone, TX; grandson, Dale George of Sherman, TX; great-grandsons, Gage Payne, Buford Payne, and Conner George of Telephone, TX; and brother, Fred Bradshaw, and wife, Linda of Salisbury, NC.

The family will hold a celebration of life for Mack, along with honorable memorial services in the upcoming fall. Arrangements are under the care of Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home.
