Paris, Texas – Texas Department of Transportation officials remind drivers that the State Highway 121 bridge over US 69 in Fannin County will close for repairs for approximately five weeks.

The contractor, DCC Construction and Services LLC, Whitehouse, Texas, will perform bridge structure repairs. The bridge will be closed in both directions until this work is completed, officials said.

Message boards will be placed in multiple locations to alert and inform travelers of this closure.

Drivers will need to exit before getting to the bridge and take the frontage road to cross US 69.

They should pay close attention to the temporary traffic signals installed at the intersection, officials said.

Motorists who travel frequently in this area are asked to pay special attention to all barricades, traffic controls and signs, and to reduce their speed as they approach and travel through these intersections. They should also avoid distractions such as cell phones, eating, drinking, or car audio or navigation systems.
