Bonham, Texas -- Billy W. Howell, passed away on August 27, 2024, in Bonham, Texas, at the age of 80. Born on January 7, 1944, in Kerrville, Texas, Bill was a respected master electrician, FreeMason and a proud veteran of the United States Army serving in Vietnam.

Bill is survived by his children, Laura Howell, Gary Howell, and Betty J. Gray; his brothers, Bobby and Mark Howell. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Betty Lou Howell of 55 years; his brother, Jimmy Howell; his sister, Ann Fergerson; and his parents, Francis and Walker Howell.

A private ceremony will take place where Bill's ashes will be returned to the family cemetery in Kerrville, Texas, as per his wishes. Additionally, a celebration of life will be held in Honey Grove, Texas, with family and close friends details to be announced later.

Flowers can be sent to Wise Funeral Home in Bonham, Texas, which is assisting the family during this time. Or in lieu of flowers a contribution can be made to the Disabled American Veterans (DAV).
