30th anniversary event slated at Denison Travel Information

Denison, Texas -- TxDOT’s Travel Information Center north of Denison will host a 30th anniversary event from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Sept. 13 to celebrate serving the traveling public. The center is located at 6801 U.S. Highway 75 in Denison.

Local law enforcement, TxDOT personnel, local tourism partners and environmental awareness representatives will be present to support safe travel awareness.

Attendees will hear about:

Child Passenger Safety Week and receive information about how to keep young passengers safe with TxDOT & Buckle Up Bear.

Don’t mess with Texas. Learn about TxDot’s anti-litter campaign and ways to prevent littering.

Discover Texas attractions by visiting with numerous participating Travel and Environmental/Parks Partners.

TxDOT’s 12 travel information centers promote tourism to and within Texas, provide visitors with a vital rest stop, offer vending for snacks and beverages, serve as a Wi-Fi hot spot and provide travel assistance from travel counselors. The centers and counselors create a positive first impression of Texas, help travelers choose travel routes and provide detailed information on destinations, events and road conditions.
