Lamar Street exit scheduled to be closed
Tuesday evening and Wednesday

Sherman, Texas -- As work to rebuild and widen US 75 continues, the Texas Department of Transportation is alerting the public to the temporary closure of the northbound US 75 exit ramp (Exit 59) for Lamar Street. The exit ramp is scheduled to be closed beginning Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. and reopened to traffic on Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2024, at 5:00 p.m.

Motorists traveling northbound are encouraged to exit at Center Street (Exit 58) and continue along the northbound Frontage Road to Lamar Street. Message boards directing motorists will be in place. 

Weather and other unforeseen construction issues can impact work schedules. 

TxDOT urges motorists to slow down, stay alert and obey posted signage when driving through road construction or maintenance areas.
