Saint Jo, Texas -- The Dodd City Lady Hornets went 2-1 on Thursday in pool play at the Saint Jo Volleyball Tournament.

In the first match, Class 2A Alvord defeated Dodd City, 25-11 and 25-21.

Dodd City bounced back into the win column by sweeping Bellavue, 25-14 and 25-18.

In the third match of the day, Dodd City dominated Olney, 25-8 and 25-18.

Dodd City (12-9) will play at 11:00 a.m. Saturday in the tournament's gold bracket.
