Leonard, Texas -- The Pottsboro Lady Cardinals moved to 3-0 in District 11-3A with four-set win over the Leonard Lady Tigers.

In the first set, Leonard raced out to a 4-1 lead, thanks to a pair of aces by Ava Flowers and a kill by Bella Neaville, but Pottsboro dominated the remainder of the set to post a 25-12 victory.

With Neaville doing most of the damage, Leonard evened up the match with a 25-17 win in the second set.

Pottsboro responded with a 25-12 victory in the third set.

In the fourth set, Leonard got off to a fast start and led, 10-5, before Pottsboro went on an 8-0 run to pull in front, 13-10. The Lady Cardinals went on to put a 25-14 win in the books to claim the match.

Bella Neaville and Avery Ross both had eight kills to lead Leonard, Parker Evans and Cara Barlagne finished with four kills apiece, Ava Flowers put down three kills, Cheyanne Clark and Riley Brown both had a pair of kills and Madison Jones contributed a kill.

Flowers handed out 26 assists and Clark got under 20 digs.

Abigail Grady had six kills and Cambree Fromme came up with five kills.

Despite solid back-to-back performances against tough competition, Leonard drops to 0-2 in district play.

Leonard will host Blue Ridge on Tuesday, while Pottsboro will travel to Bells.
