Sherman, Texas -- Joan Rowe of Sherman, TX passed away peacefully Friday, September 27, 2024, at the age of 94.

Joan was born in Cleveland, Ohio to Reginald and Thelma Pietri Overman on July 10, 1930. She moved to Sherman with her parents when she was 17 years old. She later married Bill Bradshaw in 1948, and raised their two children, Billy and Brenda. After her husband’s death she later married Burl Rowe and moved to Texarkana, Arkansas. She enjoyed her career with May Pharmacy where she worked as a bookkeeper for numerous years.

Joan lived a full and vibrant life. She loved spending time with her family, gardening, cooking and playing any kind of board or card game. In her earlier years, Joan even enjoyed roller skating.

In the later years of her life, Joan spent her time as a Pink Lady volunteering at Wilson N. Jones Hospital.

Joan is preceded in death by her father Reginald; mother Thelma; husband Bill Bradshaw Sr.; husband Burl Rowe; sister Raenelle Pitner; brother Robert Overman; sister Regina Krause; brother Reginald Overman Jr.; son Billy Bradshaw Jr. and daughter Brenda Casstevens.

She is survived by daughter-in-law Linda Bradshaw; son-in-law Jim Casstevens; grandchildren April Joie and husband Judd, Nathan Casstevens and wife Lori, Natalie Tuttle and husband Aaron, Kimberly Cassell and  husband Ryan; great-grandchildren Lauren Cowden and husband Robert, Emily Joie, Paige Tuttle, Colby Casstevens, Parker Tuttle, Parker Casstevens, Clay Tuttle and Camilla Cassell; great great grandson Colter Cowden; and Michael Willies, whom she considered as her own family.

The family will receive friends on Monday, Oct. 7 at Waldo Funeral Home from 6:00-8:00 p.m. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, Oct. 8 at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery at 10:00 a.m.
