Annual Christmas tree lighting to take place
Nov. 29 in downtown McKinney

McKinney, Texas  – The holiday season is almost here, and McKinney Main Street invites residents to help keep one of the city’s most cherished traditions alive by supporting the 9th annual McKinney Christmas Tree – A Gift to the Community campaign. This campaign will raise funds to bring a 35-foot frosted fir tree from Michigan to the heart of Historic Downtown McKinney, adding to the festive atmosphere that makes the city so special during the holidays. The campaign is supported by corporate sponsor HEB.

For a tax-deductible gift of $35, families and organizations will be recognized at the tree display during the holiday season. The first 150 donors to contribute a minimum of $35 will receive a commemorative ornament to celebrate their contribution to the community.

"We are thrilled to continue this beloved tradition and bring the McKinney Christmas Tree to our community once again," said Andrew Jones, Director of the McKinney Cultural District. "The tree represents the joy that the holiday season brings, and we invite everyone to join us in making this year's tree the most spectacular yet."
