Fannin County, Texas -- The Fannin County Commissioners have agreed to have a mix of county employees and the general public come together to create a holiday-themed décor for the inside of the Fannin County Courthouse this year. We are looking for ideas, materials, and help to make this a reality in the next two weeks.

Over the past two years, our Auditor's office has been instrumental in making this happen at their own expense and on their own time. In order to take some of the burden off of them, the commissioners have stepped up and committed to helping out this year. We are
reaching out to anyone who would like to be a part of this year's program and inviting them to a meeting on November 12, 2024 in the 2nd floor courtroom of the restored courthouse.

The ultimate goal is to get together a committee that would be in charge of growing the holiday decorations both inside and outside to the point that we could emulate Marshall, Texas and their fantastic yearly display. That is years down the road but we have to start somewhere.

Our goal for this first meeting is to set a theme for this year's decorations and bring together the necessary resources to make it happen in a few short weeks.

Please be aware that if you volunteer to work on the project the county will require you to sign a waiver before you do any decorating work.

WE LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU ON
