The Leonard Lady Tigers have opened the season 1-1, with their third game coming up Saturday.

In the season opener,  a late rally by Leonard fell short in an 11-point loss to Commerce. Leonard was trailing 12-4 after the first quarter and Commerce stretched its lead to 26-9 at the half.

Leonard went on to outscore Commerce, 26-20, in the second half, but the slow start resulted in a 46-35 win by Commerce.

Leonard posted its first victory of the year in a seven-point win over Paris Chisum. Leonard had a one-point lead, 12-11, after the first quarter and slowly padded its lead en route to a 41-34 victory on the road.

The Leonard Lady Tigers will be back in action at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 16 when Leonard hosts Whitewright in the Leonard JH gym.
