Leonard, Texas -- The Leonard Lady Tigers pulled away in the second half to post a 13-point win over the Whitewright Lady Tigers on Saturday afternoon at Leonard High School.

The first half was close, with Leonard holding a 13-11 advantage after the first quarter and 21-20 at the half.

Leonard took over with a 12-4 run in the third period to take a 33-24 lead into the fourth quarter.

Leonard went on to outscore Whitewright, 11-7, down the stretch to put a 44-31 win in the books.

Riley Brown led the Leonard scoring with 14 points to go along with eight rebounds. Bella Neaville had a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds.

Cheyanne Clark scored six, Kylie Houser and Avery Ross both finished with four points, Micaela Garza and Parker Evans put up two points apiece and Trinity Newby had one assist.

The Leonard Lady Tigers will play at Prairiland on Tuesday.
