May 25. Elevation is 12 ft. above normal (falling), water temperature 64°F and stained. (USACE Lake Level)
Bass, Striped slow on live shad around points.
Catfish, Blue, Catfish, Channel, Catfish, Flathead good on dough bait, live shad, powerbait, punch bait, stinkbait around below the dam, channels, points, river mouth.
Crappie, Black, Crappie, White fair on caddis flies, hair jigs, jigs, minnows around brush structure, coves.
Comments: Fishing has been very slow this week. The muddy water has definitely messed with the Striper fishing. With continued rains it’s not helping with the stained water. Catfish are okay near channels and mouth of the river. Crappie are slow around docks with brush. This flooded water has everything a little off. Hopefully in the coming weeks we will get back to somewhat normal fishing conditions.
